Chinese born clarinetist, saxophonist, pianist, and composer. Ye Huang performs music across classical, jazz, pop and many other genres.He graduated from the prestiges New England Conservatory for jazz performance major. He was named as youngest Backun clarinet artist in 2019. He is the founder of Consci Music LLC, and music director of Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai Bigband.He toured with world-renown musicians including Wynton Marsalis, Mike Stern, Dave Weckl, Arturo Sandoval, Eddie Daniels, and many. He has performed in more than 40 cities in China, including Poly Theaters and concert halls. He has also performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the U.S Including Blue Note, Birdland, Juilliard Peter Jay Sharp Theatre, Metropolitan Museum, New England Conservatory Jordan Hall, and Lincoln Center. As a composer, Ye Huang has composed many pieces and songs, he fuses different genres, forms, and rhythms, creating new compositions that is entirely unique. His classical pieces include one Clarinet Fantasy, Ye Huangs suite (7 movements), two clarinet sonatas, with the first sonata finished at the age of 13.He has composed more than a hundred jazz and jazz fusion pieces. Together with dozens of pop and hip-hop songs for singers.Ye has released a number of original albums, Starlight (2019), Unlock (2021), Podium (2022), Jazz Clarinet Minuet (2022).He also composed for an original musical named Jazzing, which will be premiere in Jazz at Lincoln Center Shanghai.In 2022, his finished his first clarinet concerto, a 16 movements and 55 minuets orchestrated piece entitled Vanward is the new classical. It will be soon presented with a professional orchestra.
