A Smarter Stay in Midtown Manhattan
Sustainability at Ameritania Hotel
At the Ameritania Hotel, sustainability is built into the guest experience. From energy efficiency to thoughtful sourcing, our approach focuses on reducing impact without compromising comfort or style.
- Smarter Energy Use
44% of our energy consumption is sourced from renewable energy, helping reduce our overall carbon footprint. Across the hotel, energy-efficient LED lighting lowers electricity use, while regularly maintained HVAC systems ensure heating and cooling operate at peak efficiency. Guests are also encouraged to turn off lights and adjust thermostats when leaving their rooms to further reduce energy use.
- Thoughtful Materials & Sourcing
From operations to guest-facing amenities, we prioritize more responsible choices. This includes the use of recycled-content paper products for tissues, napkins, and office supplies, as well as non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning solutions. Whenever possible, we source products such as coffee and tea from sustainable and fair-trade suppliers.
- Reducing Waste at Every Touchpoint
We maintain an active recycling program for paper, plastics, and glass to limit landfill waste. Guest rooms are equipped with wall-mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, eliminating single-use toiletry bottles. Additional disposable items, including straws, are available only upon request to further reduce waste.
- Water Conservation, Built In
All guest rooms feature water-efficient showerheads and faucets designed to minimize unnecessary water use without compromising comfort. Our linen and towel reuse program reduces both water and energy consumption, with bed linens for long-stay guests refreshed every third day unless otherwise requested. In-room messaging provides simple reminders for conserving water throughout your stay.
- Designed for Ongoing Impact
Our sustainability efforts are shared through in-room materials and digital communications, making it easy for guests to participate. We are continuing to expand partnerships with local charities and environmental organizations, and will soon introduce options for guests to offset the carbon footprint of their stay.
